JD Sports Partners with Affirm to Offer Flexible Payment Options Just in Time for Holiday Rush

JD Sports, a leading retailer of sports, fashion, and outdoor brands, has announced a new partnership with Affirm (NASDAQ: AFRM), a payment network that empowers consumers and helps merchants grow. This collaboration introduces Affirm’s flexible pay-over-time options, allowing shoppers to enjoy a more convenient way to shop for top brands like Nike, adidas, New Balance, and The North Face at JD Sports and Finish Line.

These shopping events are critical to the holiday season, and our partnership with Affirm enhances the experience by giving shoppers more control over their purchases.”

Thanks to the new partnership, shoppers can now take advantage of Affirm’s payment options at over 500 JD Sports and Finish Line stores nationwide, as well as online via the Affirm app. In-store customers can easily use their smartphones to scan a QR code at checkout, which directs them to Affirm’s payment portal. Online shoppers can select Affirm as a payment method on the product page. After a quick eligibility check, customers are presented with personalized payment plans that include biweekly or monthly options, with interest rates as low as 0% APR and no hidden fees.

“The demand for sports fashion and footwear continues to grow, with Affirm seeing a 50% year-over-year increase in purchases from sporting goods retailers in October,” said Pat Suh, Senior Vice President of Revenue at Affirm. “Through this collaboration with JD Sports, we’re making it even easier for consumers to shop responsibly and manage their spending with flexible, transparent payment options—whether they’re shopping in-store or online.”

This partnership adds JD Sports to Affirm’s extensive global network of more than 320,000 merchants, which includes leading brands like Amazon, American Airlines, Peloton, and SeatGeek. By offering flexible payment solutions, JD Sports and Affirm aim to make the shopping experience even more accessible for consumers.
