Ralph Lauren Corporation (NYSE:RL) has officially released its 2024 Global Citizenship & Sustainability Report, highlighting the company’s efforts to bring its vision of timelessness to life and detailing its progress towards key goals under the “Timeless by Design” strategy.
“Since our founding 57 years ago, Ralph Lauren has been synonymous with timelessness—creating beautiful, high-quality pieces meant to be cherished and passed down. This vision not only influences our creations but also informs how we operate as a global business, impacting our teams and the communities we engage with. We want our business to stand the test of time, just like our iconic styles,” said Katie Ioanilli, Chief Global Impact & Communications Officer at Ralph Lauren Corporation.
Driven by its Purpose—”to inspire the dream of a better life through authenticity and timeless style”—Ralph Lauren advances its citizenship and sustainability goals through a series of programs focused on three strategic pillars: Create with Intent, Protect the Environment, and Champion Better Lives. This year’s report includes several notable achievements:
- Launching the Artist in Residence program, featuring three signature collections in collaboration with Diné (Navajo) artisan Naiomi Glasses. This initiative is based on a groundbreaking model of mutually beneficial cultural partnership.
- Delivering the iconic Denim Flag Trucker Jacket as Cradle to Cradle (C2C) Certified® and introducing the first Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified 100% Recycled Cotton Polo, as well as a collection of Responsible Wool Standard (RWS)-certified sweaters.
- Continuing to reduce the company’s environmental footprint by phasing out coal usage in its supply chain, with a 33% reduction in emissions compared to the FY20 baseline.
- Announcing the opening of a new Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention at the University of Southern California Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, which will open in October 2024. The center is supported by a grant from the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation.
