Minneapolis-based Peace Coffee is responding to the growing popularity of cold espresso beverages by launching its Organic and Fair Trade Peace Coffee Premium Concentrate, designed for cold or iced coffee drinks. Made with Peace Coffee’s sustainably sourced Yeti Blend beans, this ready-to-use, shelf-stable product is now available for food service and wholesale customers.
The National Coffee Association notes a 300% rise in cold brew consumption since the pandemic, and a 2024 survey by the Specialty Coffee Association found that 42% of specialty coffee drinkers had cold coffee in the past week, with 75% agreeing that cold brew is trendy. The Peace Coffee Premium Concentrate allows foodservice operators to easily serve specialized cold or iced coffee beverages without the need for additional brewing equipment.
“Peace Coffee’s success stems from consumer demand for ecologically responsible, Fair Trade-certified coffee,” said Lee Wallace, owner and CEO of Peace Coffee. “Our new Premium Concentrate reflects this demand, offering both affordability and innovation while staying true to our values—delivering high-quality coffee from environmentally harmonious farms and supporting the communities that grow it.”
The Yeti Blend, a smooth and chocolatey medium roast, is used in the Premium Concentrate. Packaged in a 32 oz bottle, it has a shelf life of over nine months and can make up to two gallons (256 oz) of cold brew, or more than 21 12-ounce cold or iced espresso-based drinks. Once opened, it remains refrigerated for two weeks.
