KFC Unveils Global Brand Refresh with New Menu Innovations, Modern Restaurant Designs and Elevated Customer Experiences

KFC is entering a bold new chapter as it rolls out one of its most significant global transformations in recent years. The iconic chicken brand is refreshing its menu, redesigning restaurants and modernizing its branding to deliver a more engaging experience for today’s consumers while reinforcing its position as a leader in the quick-service restaurant (QSR) chicken category.

As demand for chicken continues to rise worldwide, KFC is focusing on creating more craveable food, greater menu personalization and restaurant environments that better reflect the way people eat, socialize and enjoy meals today.

Scott Mezvinsky, CEO of KFC Global, said the brand sees a major opportunity to redefine modern chicken dining in an increasingly competitive market. He noted that while KFC remains rooted in its iconic heritage, the company is bringing fresh energy to its food, restaurants and overall customer experience to strengthen its connection with consumers around the world.

A key highlight of the transformation is the expansion of KFC’s boneless chicken offerings. The new menu is designed to appeal to customers seeking convenient, shareable and snack-friendly options. Guests can now enjoy crispy chicken tenders and other boneless favorites paired with an extensive collection of more than 20 new sauces developed through KFC’s global “sauce pantry.”

The sauce lineup features a mix of contemporary takes on classic flavors and internationally inspired creations. Markets will have the flexibility to tailor selections based on local tastes, with examples including Chimichurri Ranch and Hot Honey Habanero. The expanded sauce range aims to give customers greater freedom to personalize meals while exploring new flavor combinations.

KFC is also introducing “Dunked,” a menu concept that takes flavor to the next level by coating tenders, wings and chicken sandwiches in bold sauces before serving. Already available in markets such as South Africa and India, the concept responds to growing consumer demand for richer, sauce-forward dining experiences.

Beyond chicken, the company is making a significant investment in beverages through the launch of KWENCH by KFC, a new global drinks platform designed to attract customers throughout the day. The beverage range includes Boba Refreshers, Krunch Shakes, Sparkling Lemonades and Iced Coffees. Following successful pilot programs in the United Kingdom and Ireland, KWENCH will become a permanent offering in Australia and Canada later this year, with further international expansion expected.

Together, these menu innovations are intended to position KFC as more than just a meal destination. Whether customers are looking for a refreshing drink, a quick snack or a full meal, the brand aims to offer greater variety, customization and indulgence across every visit.

The transformation extends beyond the menu to KFC’s physical restaurants. Beginning this summer, the company will introduce a new generation of restaurant designs focused on hospitality, comfort and flexibility. The updated spaces are intended to create more inviting environments that adapt to different customer occasions throughout the day rather than simply maximizing operational efficiency.

Among the first examples is an open-concept restaurant scheduled to open in McKinney, Texas, later this summer. The location will blend KFC’s heritage with a contemporary architectural style. Later in the year, a two-story flagship restaurant in Dubai will showcase one of the brand’s most immersive and visually striking restaurant concepts to date. Future restaurant openings and remodels across global markets will continue to incorporate elements of this next-generation design strategy.

Supporting these changes is a refreshed global brand identity that modernizes KFC’s visual presence while preserving the heritage that has made it one of the world’s most recognizable restaurant brands. The refreshed identity highlights the iconic bucket with updated styling, introduces subtle refinements to the Colonel’s appearance and reinforces the famous “Finger Lickin’ Good” brand promise.

The updated branding will be reflected across restaurant interiors, packaging, advertising campaigns, digital platforms and customer communications, creating a more consistent and contemporary experience worldwide.

The rollout will begin in the United Kingdom and Ireland, where customers will soon see new chicken tenders, nine new sauces and refreshed branding across digital and in-store touchpoints. The initiative will then expand to Australia and the United States in the coming weeks, with additional international markets joining the rollout throughout 2026.

Through these sweeping changes, KFC is aiming to redefine the future of quick-service chicken by combining menu innovation, modern restaurant design and refreshed branding to deliver more personalized, flavorful and memorable experiences for customers around the globe.
