Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Launches ‘Under the Cap’ Series to Honor Associates and Communities

Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages (CCSWB), the local Coca-Cola bottler serving Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arkansas, has unveiled its “Under the Cap” video series. This collection of vibrant stories shines a spotlight on the dedicated CCSWB associates who play a crucial role in delivering Coca-Cola products to restaurants and retailers across the region.

“These stories truly reflect the heart and soul of CCSWB,” said Greg Artkop, Director of Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability for CCSWB.

The “Under the Cap” series takes viewers on a journey through the rich history and unique cultures of the communities CCSWB serves. Whether highlighting the small-town charm of Coca-Cola’s roots in Paris, Texas, or the colorful binational culture of border cities like McAllen and El Paso, the series celebrates how Coca-Cola products are woven into the fabric of local life. From the quirky allure of Roswell, New Mexico, to the festive celebrations of George Washington’s birthday in Laredo, and the lively dance halls of Texas Hill Country, these stories showcase the personal connections and community spirit that CCSWB associates foster across their service area.

“As the local bottler for Texas and surrounding states, Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages is deeply connected to the communities where we reside and operate,” said Jean Claude Tissot, President of Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages. “Our associates are vital members of those communities, supporting our belief in running a sustainable business. The ‘Under the Cap’ series gives people a chance to get to know the frontline heroes who do more than produce and deliver Coca-Cola products. They are also volunteer firefighters, coaches, artists, and BBQ enthusiasts who take pride in giving back to the places where they live and work.”

The “Under the Cap” series was co-produced by CCSWB and Texas Monthly Studio, in collaboration with Texas Country Reporter, a beloved television show that became part of the Texas Monthly family in 2022. The series includes 30 videos, each around 8 minutes long, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the lives of CCSWB associates. The videos open with the familiar sound of a bottle cap snapping off and the satisfying fizz of Coca-Cola, setting the tone for a fun and engaging exploration of local culture and the people behind the products.

“These stories truly reflect the heart and soul of CCSWB,” Artkop added. “The series isn’t just about the beverages you find at your local grocery store. It’s about the people who deliver them and the unique cultures that shape the communities they serve.”
