Toshiba Enhances Operational Efficiency for Major Gift Shop Operator with Electronic Shelf Labels

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, in collaboration with global partner Partron ESL, has successfully implemented electronic shelf labels (ESL) in several Event Network stores, a leading operator of retail outlets for experiential attractions across the U.S. The technology aims to streamline operations, boost profitability, and reduce costs. The initial rollout saw the solution deployed in four stores within 30 days, with plans to expand to more locations over the next six months.

Electronic shelf labels are becoming more popular among retailers due to their ability to improve sales, profitability, and operational efficiency while enhancing the customer experience. These labels ensure consistency in pricing across various platforms—shelf edge, online, app, and register—tackling a major challenge for modern retailers. The ESL deployment adds to Event Network’s existing portfolio of Toshiba solutions, which are designed to accelerate store operations through advanced end-to-end technology.

Toshiba and Event Network’s partnership began when Toshiba became the sole point-of-sale (POS) provider for the retailer, supporting them with staging and installation services. Additionally, Event Network sources complementary POS solutions, including payment terminals, through Toshiba. They also leverage Toshiba’s Proactive Service Availability (PAS) solution, which offers real-time operational visibility and remote resolution of system issues, ensuring smoother store operations.
