Square Launches New Partnerships and Features to Empower Beauty and Wellness Businesses for Success

Square has announced new partner integrations and a distribution partnership with SalonCentric to expand its hardware and software offerings for beauty and wellness professionals. The company also introduced several new features to help sellers boost sales, improve client personalization, and streamline back-office operations.

As the largest B2B distributor for beauty products in the U.S., SalonCentric serves over 1 million active customers through more than 600 stores. With this partnership, beauty professionals can now purchase Square Readers at SalonCentric locations and receive promotional pricing for Square Appointments Plus. This collaboration ensures that beauty professionals have access to essential tools to grow their businesses.

Bertrand Fontaine, President of SalonCentric, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We share Square’s values in supporting small business owners and helping them succeed with cutting-edge technology and education.”

Square has also expanded its range of partner integrations to further empower beauty and wellness sellers:

  • SalonInteractive: Enables sellers to generate additional revenue through drop-shipped beauty products without handling logistics.
  • Vish: A hair color management system that tracks color usage, reducing waste and inventory management burdens.
  • Submatic: Allows sellers to create and manage memberships with automated communications and discounts.
  • Pomp: Lets estheticians recommend skincare products, sell online, and earn commissions without holding inventory.
  • SalonScale: Simplifies the tracking of hair color usage and improves accuracy.
  • Glammatic: Provides digital marketing tools, custom websites, and social media support.

Square also unveiled new features aimed at optimizing operations and enhancing client experiences:

  • Packages: Clients can purchase services in bulk, increasing repeat business.
  • No-Show Fee by Service: Gives sellers control over no-show fees to reduce income loss from missed appointments.
  • Service Costs (Backbar): Allows sellers to track service costs and better understand profitability.
  • Customized Online Booking: Offers businesses a branded, personalized booking experience.
  • ‘Text Us’ Button: Helps sellers manage client inquiries during the booking process, boosting conversion rates.
  • Post Booking Forms: Automates the collection of necessary forms, improving appointment check-ins.

Additional features like color-coded services and new client indicators help sellers manage appointments more efficiently, while the ability to block clients minimizes disruptions from no-shows.

“Square’s new product enhancements give beauty and wellness professionals even more control and personalization to fit their unique business needs,” said Ashley Heywood, Health & Beauty Product Marketing Lead at Square. “Whether just starting out or managing a multi-location salon, Square is committed to meeting every seller’s needs.”
