Wesco, Inc. Enhances Supply Chain, Space Management, and Store Operations Through RELEX Partnership

Wesco, Inc., a family-owned convenience store chain in Michigan, has chosen RELEX Solutions, a provider of integrated supply chain and retail planning solutions, to enhance its operational efficiency by unifying space management, operations, and supply chain planning.

“We’re thrilled to implement RELEX’s integrated planning tools across our 55 stores. This initiative will significantly streamline our operations, improve customer service, and empower our employees by optimizing inventory management and reducing spoilage,” stated George Barnhardt, Vice President – Revenue at Wesco.

Wesco aims to boost operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by enhancing product availability, optimizing inventory, minimizing spoilage, and automating processes for both central and store-level teams.

To ensure a seamless transition, Wesco will collaborate with Logic during the implementation phase, leveraging additional retail and technical expertise.

Historically, Wesco managed its supply chain and space planning using various disconnected ERP systems. The transition to RELEX addresses the need for a more sophisticated and unified tool to streamline operations. Unlike the previous fragmented approach, RELEX automates processes across all functional areas on a single platform, offering dynamic space and floor planning with tailored planograms to meet the specific challenges of convenience stores.

Additionally, Wesco will integrate RELEX Mobile Pro, a tool designed to enhance retail operations by streamlining inventory management, reducing out-of-stocks, and minimizing spoilage, particularly for perishable goods. This tool automates routine tasks, allowing staff to focus more on customer service, while providing real-time product data for improved decision-making.

“This collaboration is not just about technology; it’s about integrating innovative solutions that will fundamentally improve Wesco’s operations,” said Greg Westrick, Vice President, North America West at RELEX. “We are dedicated to delivering measurable improvements in efficiency and performance, ensuring Wesco continues to serve its customers effectively.”

Andy Winans, Chief Client Officer at Logic, emphasized the partnership’s goal: “Our focus is to streamline the implementation process and integrate these new technologies smoothly. With our retail expertise and understanding of RELEX, we’re helping Wesco achieve greater operational efficiency, delivering significant business value.”
