RH (NYSE: RH) has unveiled its largest and most immersive retail experience to date with the opening of RH Newport Beach at Fashion Island. This new gallery integrates a curated selection of luxury home furnishings from RH Interiors, Modern, Outdoor, Baby & Child, and TEEN, blending them with rare art, antiques, and artifacts sourced from around the globe. The grand space further enhances the shopping experience by introducing RH Ocean Grill, a stunning 270-seat rooftop restaurant focused on seafood and caviar specialties, all while offering breathtaking views of the California coastline.
According to Gary Friedman, RH’s Chairman and CEO, “RH Newport Beach is one of our most dramatic, immersive, and brand-defining physical locations to date. The Gallery reflects our ongoing mission to revolutionize retail, blurring the lines between residential and retail spaces, home and hospitality, indoors and outdoors.” He continued, “We continue to open the most innovative and immersive physical experiences in our industry, and some would argue in the world. We are honored to bring this remarkable destination to Southern California.”
RH Newport Beach is conceptualized as a transparent, multi-level structure that allows fresh air and natural light to flow through its spacious design. Its exterior, with parchment-cream Venetian plaster, is complemented by expansive glass-and-steel French doors that open to tranquil garden courtyards. The grounds feature a serene walking path made of decomposed granite and bluestone pavers, surrounded by 100-year-old olive trees, adding a timeless touch to the experience.
Guests visiting the gallery will be drawn to the grand double floating staircase, which leads to the rooftop and the RH Ocean Grill. Set within a skylit garden escape, this restaurant offers a range of fresh seafood dishes and live-fire hearth classics, all enjoyed under a dramatic atrium adorned with sparkling chandeliers. The stunning space also features lush gardens and al fresco seating, allowing visitors to dine amidst the serene atmosphere inspired by classical European landscapes.
On the fourth level, two adjacent Wine Bars offer a selection of exceptional champagnes and wines from renowned regions across the globe, including Napa Valley. Visitors can sip fine wines while exploring the gallery or enjoying the rooftop views.
The third floor houses RH’s first fully integrated Waterworks Showroom, which spans 3,000 square feet and offers an extensive range of bath and kitchen fittings, fixtures, lighting, accessories, and surfaces. This floor also features the RH Interior Design Atelier, an 8,500-square-foot space that provides visitors with professional design services in a beautifully designed environment.
On the lower levels, RH Newport Beach showcases artistic lifestyle installations of RH Collections by internationally recognized designers. The gallery includes RH Outdoor collections, which are the largest in North America, along with terraces and courtyards displaying outdoor furniture. Barrel-vaulted passageways guide visitors through rooms that seamlessly blend RH’s signature furnishings with one-of-a-kind antiques and artifacts from Gary Friedman’s world travels.
The gallery also features dedicated spaces for RH Baby & Child and RH TEEN, offering collections that complement the rest of the home’s design. These areas feature petite versions of the brand’s iconic sofas, sectionals, and chairs, creating intimate and inviting rooms for younger generations.
