
DCG Launches Digital Commerce Intelligence Index, Setting New Benchmark for Manufacturers
Digital Commerce Global Group (DCG), the leading standard for global digital commerce capability benchmarking, has announced the launch of the Digital Commerce Intelligence Index (DCI Index). This groundbreaking initiative ranks manufacturers based on their digital commerce effectiveness, utilizing a comprehensive set of capability data gathered from over 1.5 million data points. The DCI Index consolidates insights from esteemed sources such as Bazaarvoice, Intelligence Node, Salsify, and Shopalyst, allowing brands to benchmark their performance against peers and identify areas for excellence and investment.

With its unique and impartial scoring system, the DCI Index illuminates each manufacturer’s digital commerce intelligence.
DCG maintains no commercial ties with any of the participating data providers.

The Index employs a thorough data collection and analysis process. Initial results for the US eGrocery sector were revealed at this year’s Groceryshop conference in Las Vegas, covering 25 leading manufacturers, over 100 brands, and 45,000 products across Amazon, Walmart, and Target.
Manufacturers included in the October ranking will receive insights into their performance scores in early November, with data provider teams available to share additional insights and strategies. Upcoming webinars will showcase case studies and key learnings for the industry.
Looking ahead, the DCI Index aims to expand into additional categories and regions, incorporating more data points and metrics for a comprehensive understanding of digital commerce intelligence.
