Luxury bedding brand Boll & Branch made a groundbreaking appearance on the runway at New York Fashion Week in a first-ever collaboration with renowned designer Prabal Gurung. Gurung, known for his innovative and elegant designs, crafted a ready-to-wear collection using Boll & Branch’s luxurious Summit Supima fabric, made from 100% organic cotton. This same fabric was previously used to create a dress for tennis star Maria Sharapova at the 2024 Met Gala.
This partnership reflects the shared South Asian roots of both Boll & Branch and Prabal Gurung. The brand’s Summit Supima cotton is woven in India, while Gurung often draws inspiration from his Nepali heritage. For this collection, he was inspired by the vibrant Hindu festival of Holi, which symbolizes renewal and new beginnings. The show’s grand finale saw models in all-white designs showered in colorful powder, mirroring the Holi celebrations.
