Airship Unveils 2024 Altitude Award Winners

Mobile-first customer experience leader, Airship, has announced the winners of its 2024 Altitude Awards, recognizing exceptional value creation across acquisition, activation, value impact, unified experience, and mobile mastery. This year’s winners include Asda, bol, CIMB Singapore, Sally Beauty Holdings, and The Vitamin Shoppe.

Award Winners and Achievements

Acquisition: bol

The online marketplace bol was celebrated for its “Price Alert Push as Acquisition Strategy,” which effectively drove app downloads and opt-ins. Their campaign encouraged users to download the app, opt into notifications, and add items to wish lists ahead of sales events, like the bol 10 Days Campaign. The strategy achieved nearly three times higher opt-in rates, a 27% open rate, and a 9% conversion rate.

Activation: Sally Beauty Holdings

Sally Beauty Holdings was honored for its efforts to boost app engagement and opt-ins through initiatives like videos, quizzes, and exclusive offers. Using Airship’s tools, Sally Beauty saw year-over-year increases in app engagement, with a 7% rise in Sally Beauty app users and a 16.6% rise for CosmoProf. App revenues also grew significantly, contributing a larger share of the company’s e-commerce sales.

Value Impact: CIMB Singapore

CIMB Singapore received recognition for its “Empowering Simplicity with CIMB Clicks” campaign. By streamlining app processes and educating users on security, the bank saw monthly active users grow by 162%, with 9 out of 10 retail customers using digital banking regularly.

Unified Experience: Asda

UK supermarket giant Asda earned accolades for its “Multichannel Rewards Round-Up” campaign, which used data-driven push notifications, in-app messages, and emails to enhance its loyalty program. Asda reported a 100% increase in push notification open rates, a 50% boost in in-app engagement, and significant gains in email campaign performance.

Mobile Mastery: The Vitamin Shoppe

The Vitamin Shoppe was the first recipient in the new Mobile Mastery category for its comprehensive transformation of the mobile app experience. Through loyalty programs, gamification, abandoned cart campaigns, and SMS integration, the brand increased app engagement, conversions, and overall e-commerce revenue.
