Reopening of Colruyt Hooglede A Larger, More Sustainable Store with an Expanded Product Range
The Colruyt Lowest Prices store in Hooglede is set to reopen on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, featuring an expanded sales area of 2,039 square meters. Located on Ieperstraat, the renovated store now offers a broader product range. The renovations aimed to enhance the shopping experience for customers and improve the store’s sustainability.
Over 2,400 New Products
The revamped Colruyt Lowest Prices store in Hooglede is now 350 square meters larger than before, providing customers with a more extensive selection of quality products at the lowest prices. Store manager Amelie Malfait shared, “We’ve added approximately 400 new food items and around 2,000 non-food products. The store now features ten additional chest freezers, and our renovated butcher shop includes an open workshop where customers can find all sliced cold meats and vegetarian products.” The store’s layout has been optimized to make shopping more enjoyable and efficient.
Enhanced Focus on Sustainability
The Hooglede store has integrated numerous sustainability features, including energy-efficient LED lighting with sensors, which reduce energy consumption by up to 30%. The store recovers residual heat from cooling systems and reuses up to 75% of the heat through its ventilation system. The butcher shop now has a closed, energy-efficient cooling system. Additionally, solar panels on the roof generate green electricity. These measures aim to optimize energy use and lower CO2 emissions. The parking area now includes a charging station for two electric vehicles.
Convenient Collect&Go Service
Customers will also benefit from a newly upgraded Collect&Go collection point at the Hooglede store. This online shopping service from Colruyt Group allows customers to submit their shopping lists via collectandgo.be or the app. Employees prepare the orders for pickup at the specified time and date.
Open House Evening on May 7
Store manager Amelie Malfait announced, “Our entire team is excited to welcome back our customers. We invite everyone to be the first to explore the renovated store during our open house event from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 7.”
