Rago Wright Teams Up with Travis Landry to Introduce Landry Pop Auctions

Rago Wright is set to transform the collectibles market with the debut of Landry Pop Auctions (LPA), led by renowned expert and TV personality Travis Landry. This new venture will be the sixth independent auction house under the Rago Wright umbrella, marking a significant step in the firm’s growth and diversification. LPA will offer a wide range of collectibles, including comics, toys, video games, and trading cards, catering to the burgeoning market of high-value items and attracting new buyers.

Travis Landry, known for his roles on PBS’s Antiques Roadshow (2017–present) and the Travel Channel’s Toy Hunter (2012–2014), brings his extensive knowledge and enthusiasm for collectibles to LPA. His expertise spans culturally significant collectibles, allowing Rago Wright to expand into new categories and offer previously unmet services within their network.

Richard Wright, CEO of Rago Wright, expressed excitement about the partnership: “Collaborating with Travis to launch Landry Pop Auctions will revolutionize the collectibles market. Travis’s profound knowledge and passion, particularly in comics, toys, video games, and trading cards, align perfectly with our growth and diversification goals. His unmatched expertise will enhance our offerings and provide exceptional auction experiences for our clients. We are eager to embark on this new venture and explore the opportunities it presents.”

Travis Landry, who began his auction career at just 12 years old, has handled numerous high-profile items, including a 1999 Pokémon Base Set Shadowless Booster Box that sold for $100,000, a Marvel Comics Fantastic Four #1 (11/61) CGC 8.0 that fetched $150,000, and a Marvel Comics Werewolf by Night #1 (9/72) CGC 9.8 that sold for $51,250. His experience includes managing collections for notable figures such as Kevin Willis and Andy Yanchus. Landry’s expertise and passion for discovering rare finds will be instrumental in driving LPA’s success.

“Landry Pop Auctions will introduce a fresh and dynamic approach to the auction world,” said Travis Landry. “With my deep passion for and knowledge of comics, toys, video games, and trading cards, combined with Rago Wright’s innovative style and expertise, we will advance the industry in exciting new directions. I am looking forward to uncovering and showcasing extraordinary items, providing unparalleled auction experiences for collectors and enthusiasts.”

Over the past five years, Rago Wright has demonstrated substantial growth through strategic acquisitions and market expansion. The merger of Rago and Wright in 2019, followed by the acquisition of Poster Auctions International and Toomey & Co., has expanded the firm’s scope. The addition of LPA further diversifies its portfolio, appealing to modern collectors and enthusiasts.

Landry Pop Auctions will launch its inaugural auction in October. For those interested in selling collectibles, contact Travis at [email protected].
