The Company confirmed the appointment of Harry DeMott and Brent Cox to its Board of Directors, effective February 1, 2026, and also announced a new executive employment arrangement with Chief Financial Officer Susan Echard, who will transition from a contracted role to a full-time employee of the Company effective January 30, 2026.

Harry DeMott Brings Cannabis Data and Technology Expertise

Harry DeMott joins the Board with a career that spans investment, operations, and governance across cannabis and technology sectors. He is a General Partner and co-founder of Raptor Ventures, an investment firm focused on identifying and supporting innovative companies in emerging industries. In addition, he is part of the founding group at Outsider Labs, an artificial intelligence startup focused on next-generation technology solutions.

DeMott is also well known within the cannabis industry for his role as the founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Proper, a data and analytics company that provided insights and intelligence to cannabis operators and investors. Under his leadership, Proper became a trusted source of industry data, helping stakeholders navigate market trends and regulatory developments.

His board experience includes service on several public-company boards. At Workhorse Group Inc., DeMott served as a director and chaired the compensation committee, overseeing executive compensation strategy and governance practices. He also served on the board of Achari Ventures Holdings Corp., where he chaired the audit committee, contributing to financial oversight and regulatory compliance.

DeMott holds an A.B. in Economics from Princeton University and earned his M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University. His academic background, combined with his operational and board experience, positions him to provide valuable strategic and financial insight to WM Technology.

Brent Cox Adds Capital Markets and Board Advisory Strength

Brent Cox brings extensive experience as an investment professional and board advisor, with a particular focus on high-growth and regulated industries, including cannabis. He is the Founder and Managing Principal of Subtext Holdings, a private investment firm that targets emerging markets and regulated sectors with strong long-term growth potential.

In addition, Cox is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of The Inception Companies, a private investment firm that works closely with portfolio companies to support operational scaling, governance development, and strategic execution.

Cox currently serves on the board of Ispire Technology (Nasdaq: ISPR), where he contributes to corporate governance and strategic oversight for a publicly traded company operating in a regulated industry. His prior cannabis-related board experience includes roles with MedMen, Sunday Goods, Sherbinskis, Wellgreens, and Pacific Dutch Group, providing him with a broad perspective on the operational, financial, and regulatory challenges facing cannabis operators and technology platforms alike.

Earlier in his career, Cox worked in the Leveraged Finance Group at Jefferies & Co., where he gained experience in structured finance, capital markets transactions, and financial analysis. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California.

His background in finance, governance, and investment strategy is expected to support WM Technology’s continued focus on disciplined capital allocation and sustainable growth.

CFO Susan Echard Transitions to Full-Time Employment

In addition to the Board appointments, WM Technology announced that Susan Echard will continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer, transitioning from a contracted arrangement to a formal employment relationship with the Company effective January 30, 2026.
