Toshiba Enhances Gift Shop Operator’s Efficiency with Electronic Shelf Label Deployment

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, in collaboration with global partner Partron ESL, is rolling out new electronic shelf labels (ESL) for Event Network, a leading operator of retail stores at experiential attractions across the U.S. This innovative solution aims to address key operational needs such as inventory management, profitability enhancement, and cost reduction. The system has already been implemented in four stores, with plans to expand to additional locations within the next six months.

“Through our hardware and service solutions, Event Network is now equipped with end-to-end technology to ensure exceptional in-store experiences for their shoppers at museums, zoos, tourist destinations, and hospitality venues,” said Ted Clark, Director of Global Alliances at Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions. “By working with Partron ESL, we were able to implement the best solution for Event Network’s needs, delivering it in just 30 days.”

Electronic shelf labels are gaining traction among retailers as a way to improve sales, streamline operations, and enhance the shopper experience. ESLs also ensure price consistency across all channels, including shelf edge, online, mobile apps, and the register. This latest adoption complements Event Network’s existing Toshiba technology portfolio, which includes modular hardware, software, and services designed to accelerate store operations and improve customer engagement.

Toshiba’s relationship with Event Network began when the company became the sole provider of point-of-sale (POS) systems for the retailer. Toshiba worked alongside other partners to ensure the successful rollout of the POS systems, demonstrating its ability to deliver fast, comprehensive solutions. Event Network also utilizes Toshiba’s Proactive Service Availability (PAS) solution, which offers real-time visibility into store operations, enabling the prediction, diagnosis, and remote resolution of system issues.
