Manhattan Associates today announced that leading youth fashion retailer Pacsun has successfully implemented Manhattan Active® Point of Sale (POS). The cloud-native sales and service solution for in-store operations enables store associates to combine digital convenience with a personalized shopping experience.

Following a five-month pilot phase, Pacsun rolled out Manhattan’s POS solution to over 300 stores in just eight weeks. Mobile checkout features reduce long queues in stores, while unified inventory management, thanks to RFID integration, enables seamless fulfillment across Instagram, Amazon, TikTok, and Pacsun’s own channels. During the peak season, Pacsun achieved record sales and optimized its operations: 40 percent of online orders were processed through stores, resulting in improved warehousing, labor efficiency, and shipping costs, and a 25 percent reduction in logistics expenses.

Physical stores are now crucial for retailers to differentiate themselves from the competition. Industry studies show that unified commerce strategies, which optimize physical locations, can increase customer lifetime value by 1.5 times, raise average order value by 15 percent, and improve customer retention by 70 percent. With Manhattan Active POS deployed across all Pacsun stores, employees now benefit from features such as intuitive workflows that streamline returns and an endless aisle functionality that converts out-of-stock items into digital orders. This transforms Pacsun’s experiential stores into robust service and fulfillment hubs.
