This strategic move underscores the company’s commitment to innovation and consumer-centric growth in the beauty sector.

Kleona Mack’s Role and Vision

In her new role, Mack will oversee all marketing initiatives for Shark Beauty’s innovative hair care and skincare tools portfolio. She will report directly to Neil Shah, Chief Commercial Officer at SharkNinja. Mack’s responsibilities will include leading the brand’s growth strategy, collaborating with product design and engineering teams to influence the product roadmap, and ensuring that consumer insights are integral to marketing efforts.(SharkNinja)

Mack’s Previous Experience at Glossier

Before joining SharkNinja, Mack served as the CMO at Glossier, a role she took on in 2021. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in expanding Glossier from a direct-to-consumer brand to Marketing establishing retail partnerships with Sephora and Space NK. She also influenced Glossier’s product line, including the relaunch of the brand’s beloved Balm Dotcom lip balm and the success of the brand’s viral fragrance, Glossier You.

Mack was instrumental in forging groundbreaking partnerships, such as Glossier’s collaboration with the WNBA and the 2024 USA Women’s Basketball team for the Olympics. She also signed Olivia Rodrigo as the brand’s first celebrity ambassador and launched Glossier’s first-ever product collaboration, Swiss Miss Balm Dotcom. Furthermore, she led the evolution of Glossier’s social strategy, shifting its focus from an Instagram-first approach to driving product virality and cultural relevance on TikTok.

Prior Roles at L’Oréal and Other Companies

Before her time at Glossier, Mack spent seven years at L’Oréal, where she held various leadership roles, including Vice President, CMO Strategic Projects. She also contributed to the growth of Tarte Cosmetics Marketing and worked in merchandise planning and analytics at L Brands.
