Amid economic, social, and climate changes, steering an organization towards sustainability is both vital and challenging. CP ALL has introduced its strategic sustainability framework for 2024-2025, titled “2 Reduce 4 Create 1 DNA,” emphasizing its commitment to living alongside the community and creating a sustainable society. This framework is driven by ESG principles—Environmental, Social, and Governance—that underpin the company’s entire value chain.
Mr. Yuthasak Phumisurakul, CEO of CP All Public Company Limited, which manages 7-Eleven and 7-Eleven Delivery, stated that the company reviews its sustainable development strategy and goals annually, considering global trends and current events. CP ALL integrates international sustainability practices into its business processes and engages with business partners and stakeholders. The 2024-2025 sustainability framework “2 Reduce 4 Create 1 DNA” guides the company in its vision to be a leading Thai company in sustainable development.
The “2 Reduce 4 Create 1 DNA” framework incorporates ESG concepts to drive business in three main areas:
Environmental (E)
Under the “7 Go Green” policy, CP All aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 and net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The “2 Reduce” initiatives include:
- Reducing plastic use: Minimizing plastic sent to landfills through a circular economy, recycling efforts like developing plastic roads, and encouraging customers to reduce single-use plastics.
- Reducing energy use: Maximizing resource efficiency and promoting renewable energy, such as electric vehicles (EV) for transportation, solar energy projects (Solar PV Rooftop), and energy management systems.
Social (S)
CP All focuses on creating social value through the “4 Creations” concept:
- Build people: Providing over 37,000 scholarships by 2025, amounting to more than 1,181 million baht.
- Create jobs: Being Thailand’s largest employer with over 250,000 employees in 2024, aiming to increase employment by 10% annually.
- Create careers: Supporting SMEs and farmers through the “3-Give Strategy” by offering sales channels, knowledge, and network connections. CP All plans to help increase sales for SME entrepreneurs and farmers by 10% in 2024.
- Create a community with peace of mind: Operating over 14,700 7-Eleven branches as community support hubs, offering emergency reporting points, automatic defibrillators, fire safety training, and spaces for vulnerable groups to sell products.
Governance (G)
The “1 DNA” strategy aims to achieve good governance by mobilizing over 250,000 employees to drive “DNA Goodness 24 Hours” through initiatives like the Hundred Thousand People, Hundreds of Good Deeds project, with over 9,300 instances of customer praise for employees’ good deeds in 2023. CP All also promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and collaborates with more than 2,200 trading partners to ensure good governance throughout the value chain.
The CP ALL Sustainability Framework 2024-2025, encapsulated in the concept “2 Reduce 4 Create 1 DNA,” forms the cornerstone of the company’s sustainability strategy, promoting “Sustainability for All.” This framework is a pivotal part of CP ALL’s strategic plans to drive business towards achieving the goals outlined in its Phase 2 Sustainable Development Plan (2021-2030). The framework considers the interests of all stakeholders within the business value chain and is dedicated to the principle of “Giving & Sharing” alongside the community to create a sustainable society.
