Amazfit, a leading global smart wearables brand owned by Zepp Health (NYSE: ZEPP), today announced the Helio Strap Pro , a body training system designed to help HYROX and hybrid athletes better understand how their bodies behave under load.
Based on the screenless Helio Strap, the Helio Strap Pro adds a dedicated motion sensor, mounted on the waist, that captures torso movement and stability during training. Combined with arm-based heart rate sensors and compatible Amazfit smartwatches, the system offers a more complete view of cardiovascular effort, movement quality, and muscle load than wrist-based monitoring alone.
The Helio Strap Pro represents the next evolution of Amazfit’s Hybrid Training System , expanding performance monitoring beyond heart rate to help athletes better understand how movement, efficiency, and muscle load change as fatigue increases.

The Helio Strap Pro works with the HYROX Race and HYROX Simulation modes available on the Amazfit Balance 3 and Balance Ultra . At launch, one of these watches is required to use the full system. During compatible workouts, the watch and two sensors on the Helio Strap Pro work together to capture whole-body data:
- The Helio Core Motion HR is worn on the upper arm, closer to the heart, to provide stable heart rate readings during gripping, wrist flexion, and high-intensity movements close to the heart, helping to reduce interference caused by wrist flexion, gripping, and contact with equipment, as well as providing more stable heart rate readings during strength training, functional conditioning, and hybrid training.
- The Helio Core Motion Waist is secured to the waist to capture torso movement, positioning, and stability.
- The Balance 3 or Balance Ultra monitors workout performance and cardiovascular effort from the wrist (support for other Amazfit watches is planned for the future).
After training, the Zepp app brings together movement, muscle load, and cardiovascular effort into a structured view of performance. Following the workout, athletes can review and evaluate their performance at each individual HYROX station, including SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, long jump with burpee, rowing, farmer’s walk, sandbag lunges, and wall ball throws. Using a heart rate sensor on the arm reduces interference commonly caused by wrist movement, grip, and contact with equipment during strength and functional training.
Real-time heart rate data can be shared via Bluetooth with compatible Amazfit smartwatches, third-party sports watches, cycling computers, gym equipment, and training apps, giving athletes the flexibility to train within the ecosystem that best suits their needs. Health and activity data, including HRV (Heart Rate Variability), can also be synced with Apple Health via the Zepp app.
