
Albertsons Companies, Inc. (NYSE: ACI) has earned a perfect score of 100 on the 2024 Disability Equality Index®, marking its place among the Best Places to Work for People with Disabilities. The Disability Equality Index is a key benchmarking tool that assists companies in developing actionable strategies to achieve disability inclusion and equality.

Albertsons Cos. demonstrates its commitment to a diverse and inclusive workforce through several key initiatives:
- Inclusion Index: Launched in 2022, this company-wide index allows associates to share their perspectives and helps promote a culture of courtesy, dignity, and respect.
- DiverseABILITY: Also launched in 2022, this eighth associate resource group focuses on raising awareness, celebrating diverse abilities, and providing opportunities for people with diverse abilities, their caretakers, and allies to build a sense of belonging.
- Sponsorships: Since 2011, the Albertsons Companies Foundation has donated over $65 million to nonprofits supporting individuals with disabilities, including the Special Olympics, Easterseals, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. This support includes volunteer time, event participation, in-kind products, and customer donations.
- Supplier Diversity Program: Earlier this year, Albertsons Cos. held its Fourth Annual Supplier Diversity Event to discover, support, and provide opportunities for diverse-owned suppliers to expand their business with Albertsons Cos. and its stores.

The Disability Equality Index, introduced in 2015 by Disability:IN and The American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), is recognized as the most comprehensive disability inclusion assessment tool for businesses. It measures disability workplace inclusion across various dimensions, including Culture and Leadership, Enterprise-Wide Access, Employment Practices, Community Engagement, Supplier Diversity, and Responsible Procurement. Companies scoring 80 and above are acknowledged as Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion.
