Kyocera, ANREALAGE, and FOREARTH Unite for Their Third Collaboration at Paris Fashion Week 2025 AW

Kyocera Document Solutions proudly announced that a collaborative creation designed and produced by Mr. Kunihiko Morinaga of the Japanese fashion brand “ANREALAGE” was showcased at Paris Fashion Week 2025 Autumn/Winter. This marked the third collaboration between ANREALAGE and Kyocera’s innovative inkjet textile printer, “FOREARTH.” The collection debuted at a highly anticipated runway show held on March 5, 2025, at the American Cathedral in Paris, where 24 outfits graced the runway, 20 of which featured fabrics printed using the advanced FOREARTH printing technology.

The Kyocera event was an immersive sensory experience, as Morinaga’s boundary-pushing designs, featuring mesmerizing prints and light projections, were accompanied by the ethereal music of French electronic artist Thomas Bangalter, a former member of Daft Punk. This convergence of cutting-edge fashion, technology, and sound transformed the venue into a dynamic fusion of artistic expression and historic grandeur, captivating audiences and industry professionals alike.

Advancements in Textile Printing with FOREARTH

Kyocera A standout aspect of this collection was the innovative application of Kyocera’s FOREARTH printing technology on textured fabrics such as jacquard. One of the significant challenges in digital textile printing is maintaining vibrant color fidelity on uneven surfaces. FOREARTH successfully overcame this hurdle, garnering praise for its precise color application and seamless integration with the material’s natural textures. The use of FOREARTH’s advanced eight-color ink printing system allowed for a broader spectrum of vivid hues, surpassing the limitations of conventional four-color CMYK printing. This breakthrough facilitated the recreation of RGB color vibrancy, an achievement rarely seen in fabric printing.

Additionally, FOREARTH’s unique water-independent, location-flexible system provided significant advantages for sustainable production. Unlike traditional dyeing processes that consume substantial amounts of water and energy, FOREARTH’s eco-friendly printing method minimizes environmental impact while maximizing design freedom. Its ability to operate without reliance on water resources allows fashion brands to integrate printing technology closer to design studios and production facilities, reducing logistical lead times and offering greater creative agility.

ANREALAGE’s Vision and Concept of “SCREEN”

Mr. Kunihiko Morinaga, renowned for his experimental approach to fashion, articulated his vision for this collaboration, emphasizing the transformative nature of garments as a medium for visual expression. Under the theme of “SCREEN,” ANREALAGE explored the idea of clothing functioning as a dynamic display, reflecting shifting patterns of light and color.

In Morinaga’s words:

“The collaboration between ANREALAGE and Kyocera has now entered its third phase, and for this collection, we delved into new modes of expression under the concept of ‘SCREEN.’ Our goal was to create garments that could embody light projection, turning fashion into an interactive and ever-evolving canvas. By leveraging FOREARTH’s eight-color ink system, we transcended the conventional limitations of textile printing, achieving levels of vibrancy that simulate the luminous qualities of RGB color space. This enabled us to introduce depth and illumination effects that redefine the relationship between fabric, color, and light.”

A particularly striking aspect of this season’s collection was the use of black garments as projection surfaces. The FOREARTH-printed textiles became dynamic canvases for shifting patterns, allowing a single outfit to showcase multiple designs through external projections. This reimagining of fashion as an adaptable and fluid medium represents a paradigm shift in garment design, aligning seamlessly with FOREARTH’s philosophy of “Creative Free.”

Pushing the Boundaries of Textile Innovation

This collaboration not only underscored the artistic synergy between ANREALAGE and Kyocera but also highlighted the expanding role of technology in redefining textile craftsmanship. The seamless integration of pigment ink onto complex materials such as jacquard and velvet maintained the fabric’s original texture while unlocking new possibilities in textile art. Traditional fabric printing often struggles with retaining the feel of intricate materials, yet FOREARTH’s breakthrough technology allowed for a harmonious balance between tactile authenticity and visual innovation.

From a sustainability perspective, this partnership set a new benchmark for eco-conscious fashion production. FOREARTH’s ability to operate without wastewater discharge aligns with the fashion industry’s growing commitment to reducing environmental footprints. By eliminating the excessive water usage typical of conventional dyeing methods, this printing approach presents a viable solution for brands seeking to balance artistic integrity with sustainable practices.

The Future of ANREALAGE and FOREARTH

With three successful collaborations now completed, the relationship between ANREALAGE and Kyocera continues to push the boundaries of fashion and textile technology. As the industry embraces digital innovation, FOREARTH’s impact extends beyond aesthetics, offering designers new avenues to experiment with interactive, adaptive, and sustainable textile applications.

Morinaga concluded:

“Through these three collaborations, I have come to appreciate the boundless potential of advanced printing technology in expanding fashion’s creative horizons. The evolution of FOREARTH has allowed us to challenge preconceived notions of fabric design, proving that clothing can transcend static forms and become a living, breathing form of artistic expression. As we move forward, I am excited to continue exploring how technology can further revolutionize the way we design, produce, and experience fashion.”

This showcase at Paris Fashion Week 2025 AW stands as a testament to the power of cross-industry collaboration in redefining the future of fashion. As Kyocera, ANREALAGE, and FOREARTH continue their journey together, they set a precedent for how technology, sustainability, and artistic vision can converge to shape the next era of textile innovation. The success of this partnership affirms that the fusion of digital precision and creative imagination is the key to unlocking new dimensions in the world of fashion.
