AE Global Joins rePurpose Global to Cut Packaging Costs & Tackle Plastic Waste

AE Global Partners with rePurpose Global to Advance Sustainable Packaging Solutions

AE Global, a leader in custom packaging solutions, has expanded its collaboration with rePurpose Global, the world’s foremost Plastic Action Platform. This partnership introduces an innovative sustainability initiative that funds ocean-bound plastic cleanup efforts through cost savings on packaging and supply chain efficiencies.

A Commitment to Sustainability and Business Growth

“Our customers care about impact. Partnering with rePurpose allows us to confidently guide our packaging customers toward a sustainability strategy that is verifiable, scalable, and affordable,” said Mike Forenza, Managing Partner at AE Global. “As a third-party user of rePurpose services for two years, we’ve seen the impressive work they do firsthand. Now, as rePurpose official packaging partner, we’re eager to get more businesses involved in the winnable fight against plastic pollution in our waterways and oceans.”

By formalizing this partnership, AE is able to provide customers with packaging solutions that carry either a Plastic Negative or Plastic Neutral certification. This enables businesses to attract environmentally conscious consumers and strengthen brand trust while increasing profitability. A Plastic Neutral certification means that rePurpose will remove the same amount of plastic from the environment as was used in a packaging solution. A Plastic Negative certification signifies that more than twice the amount of plastic used in production is removed from nature.

Making a Measurable Impact on Plastic Recovery

Before officially becoming rePurpose Global’s packaging partner, AE played a significant role in funding plastic cleanup efforts. To date, rePurpose has recovered 383,932 pounds of ocean-bound plastic, thanks to AE support. This impact is equivalent to removing approximately 9.6 million plastic bottles from the environment.

“We’re removing the barriers that often prevent companies from undertaking sustainability initiatives,” said Svanika Balasubramanian, CEO and Co-Founder of rePurpose. “By working with AE, we’re helping brands turn plastic responsibility into a competitive advantage—without added complexity or cost. By harnessing our collective reach, we will inspire more brands to take action, drive more investment into recovery and recycling infrastructure, create cleaner communities, and make a tangible difference in protecting our planet.”

Expanding the Reach of Sustainable Packaging Solutions

In addition to large-scale plastic recovery efforts, the partnership introduces an effective way for AE customers to communicate their environmental impact. Through Talk Trash, a program powered by Small Circle, brands gain access to marketing tools, impact reports, and Plastic Negative or Plastic Neutral seals on their packaging. This ensures transparency and credibility when showcasing sustainability efforts to consumers.

With increasing consumer demand for eco-friendly packaging and rising regulations on plastic use, AE Global and rePurpose are presenting a scalable and replicable model for businesses looking to combat the plastic crisis while maintaining operational efficiency. AE vertically integrated supply chain ensures that sustainable packaging solutions remain cost-effective, customizable, and accessible across various industries.

A Sustainable Future for Packaging

By deepening its partnership with rePurpose Global, AE continues to reinforce its commitment to sustainability while helping brands transition toward responsible packaging solutions. Through innovation, strategic collaboration, and a shared mission to reduce plastic waste, this partnership is driving meaningful change in the packaging industry and beyond. As more companies seek to align with sustainable practices, AE expertise and partnership with rePurpose Global offer a compelling solution for integrating eco-conscious packaging into mainstream business operations.
