
On May 19, 2024, the China Tourism Office in Bangkok orchestrated the “China Tourism Day” event, featuring the second unveiling of the innovative short video clip project themed “I want to go to China” at the ICON Shopping Center’s ICONLUXE HALL Meeting Room, 1st Floor. Mr. Xue Xiaohua, Director of the China Tourism Office, Bangkok, graced the occasion with his presence.
During the event, Mr. Prasit Chakajatham, Deputy Managing Director of the Sustainability Development Division at CP All Public Company Limited, and Ms. Ting Pansan, Marketing Director of Quality Express Company Limited, formalized their collaboration through the signing of a memorandum of understanding. Additionally, Mrs. Chang Yu Meng, Charge d’Affaires for Culture at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Thailand, attended the press conference as a distinguished guest.
Mr. Prasit Chakajatham, representing CP All Company, expressed his delight in partnering with the China Tourism Office in Bangkok, Quality Express Co., Ltd., and two prominent Chinese airlines, namely Air China and China Southern Airlines, alongside True Money Co., Ltd., to host the “I want to go to China” short video clip contest for the second time. Anticipated to cultivate greater interest and understanding of Chinese culture, traditions, history, and geography among the Thai populace, this initiative aims to inspire travel to China, thereby enriching educational opportunities and fostering intercultural appreciation. With a focus on engaging participants of all ages, particularly the youth demographic, this contest promises to be both beneficial and enjoyable.
To be eligible, applicants must be Thai citizens aged 18 years and above, meeting the following contest requirements:
1) Choose a single topic from five options: Chinese history and culture, Chinese cuisine, the latest in Chinese technology, travel tips for China, or reasons for desiring to visit China.
2) Each participant may submit only one original work per topic.
3) Entries must be short video clips, ranging from 1 to 2 minutes in length, showcasing creativity, enjoyment, and clarity. Thai or Chinese language may be used in filming or narration.
4) Participants must publicly share their work on their Facebook or TikTok accounts with the caption “I want to go to China..” tagging @CNTO-Bangkok and @CPALL, and using the hashtags #QualityExpress #AirChina #ChinaSouthern #TrueMoney #NihaoChina #IWantToGoToChina2. Additionally, entries must be submitted via the QR code provided by the project operator.
Interested individuals can submit their entries from June 15, 2024, to July 15, 2024, by applying online at www.csrcpall.com. Results will be announced on July 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. through the same website and on Facebook: CSR CPALL. An award ceremony will take place from August 9 to August 11, 2024, at Union Mall department store, where 61 selected works will be honored with certificates and cultural souvenirs worth 3,000 baht each. Additionally, 10 finalists will receive certificates and round-trip flight tickets from Thailand to China, including a 5-day tour of Wuhan, Hubei Province, and Changsha, Hunan Province (scheduled for August to September, exact dates to be determined), with all expenses covered. Each prize is valued at 39,600 baht, supplemented with pocket money of 2,000 baht from True Money, totaling over 600,000 baht in prizes.
