Orvis Chooses FourKites to Enhance On-Time Delivery and Optimize Inventory Management for Better Customer Satisfaction

Leading real-time supply chain visibility provider FourKites® has announced an expansion of its partnership with outdoor retailer Orvis. As a longstanding customer of FourKites, Orvis will now utilize FourKites’ Order Insights to further enhance on-time delivery (OTD), inventory management, and customer satisfaction.

In today’s retail landscape, companies face numerous supply chain challenges, including labor shortages, rising operational costs, and the evolving demands of omnichannel retail. To address these issues, businesses are increasingly adopting innovations such as automation, real-time inventory tracking, and advanced data analytics to boost efficiency and meet changing consumer expectations.

Orvis initially selected FourKites in 2021 to optimize its inbound flow and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Since then, FourKites has assisted Orvis in improving OTD performance and proactively managing at-risk inventory and inbound orders across various shipment types, including truckload, less-than-truckload (LTL), parcel, ocean, and air shipments. FourKites’ industry-first order visibility solution has also helped Orvis reduce manual tracking, enhance visibility for inbound shipments, and proactively manage orders facing delays or issues.

With the addition of Order Insights, Orvis will now benefit from a real-time view of their supply chain network. This feature provides detailed milestone analysis to identify processing bottlenecks and root causes of exceptions. It allows customers to track performance against critical metrics such as on-time in full (OTIF), customer health, cycle times, and fill rates. Custom dashboards focused on customer health, order performance, and potential risks enable stakeholders to access relevant insights, drill down into specifics, and maintain smooth supply chain operations.
